Lisa Hathaway
Lisa has a MBA and served as CEO of Hospice of Davidson County. When her third son was born with special needs, she left the corporate world to stay home and care for him before transitioning to teach high school students with special needs. She serves on the Lexington City School Board of Education. She is also a board member for Triad Ladder of Hope and Women World Leaders. Lisa started and leads a special needs band called JoyFull-A Sound for the Soul. She earned her MA in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University. She is trained in EMDR and will be seeking a certification.
She lives in Lexington, NC, with her husband and 3 children. Her heart is to serve others and walk out whatever God has given her to do.

Monica Jones
Growing up as a pastor’s kid in Chicago, IL, Monica learned at an early age what it meant to serve others. It was through that time of serving that she became passionate about walking alongside others, especially women, in their journey to healing and wholeness.
Monica graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. Her special interests include working with clients struggling with self-esteem issues, stress management, anxiety, depression, spirituality, caregiver stress, chronic illness, grief, and women’s issues including infertility and pregnancy loss.
Monica enjoys time with her husband and family, swimming, traveling, winding down with a good book or Sudoku puzzle, spending time in worship, and engaging with her church family.

Elizabeth Simmons
Over the last 15 years, Elizabeth has been supporting families through pregnancy and lactation. Her work as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) led her to pursue a career in mental health. Elizabeth studied biology and chemistry at Guilford College. She earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Wake Forest University. Elizabeth has a passion for healthy communities stemming from the Quaker principles of equality, community, and stewardship. She volunteers with the Meals on Wheels and as a child victim advocate.

Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband and sons. Some of her favorite activities include gardening, reading, and traveling.​

Kathy Clayton
Kathy has lived in the Greensboro community for over 30 years. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro with a Bachelor's in Social Work. Then she completed her Master's degree from the University of South Carolina - Columbia - also in Social Work. Kathy attends Maplegate Christian Fellowship in Greensboro and is involved in women's ministry there. She and her husband have 4 children and 11 grandchildren who bring her the greatest joy in her life! Kathy loves being active, traveling, and plays both tennis and pickleball. Although Kathy relies heavily on Biblical truth to bring about freedom in counseling, she is able to meet each client with compassion wherever they are in their journey in life.

Dr. Karen Meadows
Dr. Meadows strongly believes in the service and upliftment of others. Growing up with a strong maternal circle, she experienced and knows the power of having someone in your corner, having a confidant and a listening ear. Her goal is to extend these same treasures to her clients.

Dr. Meadows has been a practicing school counselor for over 20 years, serving as a Counseling Supervisor for 10 years and an adjunct professor in counseling and human development for over 10 years. She obtained a master’s degree in school counseling from North Carolina A&T State University and a PhD in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Cultural Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).

Katiuska Morgan
Katiuska was born and raised in New York City where she experienced a multicultural community all of her life. Born into a Dominican family, she is bilingual; fluent in English and Spanish. Katiuska currently graduated from Liberty University with a master’s in clinical mental health. Katiuska always had a passion for psychology and counseling and for helping others pursue wholeness in body, soul, and spirit. After 9 years of practicing speech-language pathology, she decided to explore a new way of helping individuals by pursuing mental health counseling.

Katiuska is passionate about her relationship with God. She enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, fashion, decorating her home, gardening and writing about topics of interest.

Tori Truhe
Tori has a heart for others to recognize their God-given worth and identity and to find restoration accordingly. She graduated with her BS in Psychology from Liberty University (LU) in 2021 and completed her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at LU in 2024. As part of her graduate degree, Tori served others in individual, school, and group settings, incorporating both wellness and mental health practices. She regularly volunteers at the therapeutic equestrian center, HorsePOWER, in High Point. She attends and serves at Calvary Church in Greensboro and enjoys spending time with Jesus through His Word and playing piano. Her ultimate desire is to love others like Jesus and to follow His will for her life.

Jennifer Strider
Jennifer graduated from East Carolina University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.

Jennifer lives in Bennett, North Carolina with her husband, John, and two daughters. Her passion in life is to work alongside women struggling with eating disorders and help them realize their true worth is found in God. "I believe we all have a story and God has called us to use our stories to help others." Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, watching college sports, coaching her daughters’ sports teams, and traveling.

Lee Fortescue
Lee Fortescue grew up in Davie County, NC and lives there most of his life until moving to Greensboro in 2016. He got his Bachelor’s in Communication at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and began working in sales. He now attends Liberty University and is working towards his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He loves working with young men who are struggling with their faith, relationships, anxious distress, and addictions. He serves as a small group leader in college ministry at Definition Church. Lee has a passion for people, loves working hard, and is determined to come alongside individuals and help them no matter what they are going through.

Alexis Andrews
Alexis Andrews is a graduate student in the Master of Social Work Program at Louisiana State University. Outside of work, she enjoys painting and photography. She is a devoted mother to her four-year-old son and is passionate about supporting those who are survivors of domestic violence. Alexis’ career goals are to become a fully licensed therapist and to share her experience that no matter how many times life knocks you down the only way from the bottom is up.

DeanNa Cobbs
DeanNa is currently in her final year of her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree at Liberty University. She is passionate about supporting those in need of help and healing through counseling. With a compassionate heart and a listening ear, she offers support and new perspectives to those facing challenging situations. Originally from Gibsonville, N.C., she embraces her small-town roots. DeanNa cherishes moments with her friends and family, including her two adult sons and two grandsons. She is deeply committed to serving others and actively volunteers at church food pantries and care kitchens, aiming to make a positive impact both in her community and beyond.
