Founder & Executive Director
Alicia Brown
Alicia loves to watch women discover their value to God and to their community. She earned a Masters in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a B.S. in Psychology from Gardener- Webb University. Before founding and developing The Oaks, Alicia worked as a high school counselor for 13 years and in private practice as a licensed clinical mental health counselor for 8 years.
Chief Operating Officer
Christina Leggett
Christina brings to The Oaks a lifelong passion of helping people combined with over 15 years of operational office experience. She has finally been able to make her dream come true by combining all her passions into one as The Oaks Chief Operating Officer. Christina has a true heart for the Triad area as she was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. Her passion for others has always followed her on and off the mission field and within the community.
Director of Finance
Kelly Martin
Kelly is an accountant with 20+ years experience in the workplace. The last 6 years, Kelly has been a stay at home mom. Kelly’s spiritual gifts are mercy and administration which makes her a great candidate for working on financial matters at The Oaks. Her passion is to help others know Jesus' love and how He can make their life whole.

Jennifer Strider
Jennifer graduated from East Carolina University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and brings her marketing career experiences, media design skills, creativity, and “figure it out” attitude to The Oaks Team! She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
Her passion in life is to work alongside women struggling with eating disorders and help them realize their true worth is found in God.

Lead Coordinator - Rooted Day Program
Lisa Hathaway
Lisa has a Master of Business Administration and served as CEO of Hospice of Davidson County. When her third son was born with special needs, she left the corporate world to stay home and care for him before transitioning to teach high school students with special needs. She serves on the Lexington City School Board of Education. She is also a board member for Triad Ladder of Hope and Women World Leaders. She earned her MA in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University. Her heart is to serve others and walk out whatever God has given her to do.
College Intern
Ava Kallam
Ava is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is working towards completing her Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. Ava lives in Greensboro, North Carolina with her family and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Ava enjoys reading, engaging in creative activities, and spending time outside. Ava grew up at Rehobeth Methodist Church and enjoys attending Definition Church. She is passionate about helping others and making sure everyone feels loved and appreciated.
College Intern
Abby Larrick
Abby is a senior finishing her Bachelor's in Psychology from Liberty University, with intentions to pursue her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling next. After spending two years in overseas missions, she knew she wanted to continue ministry and pursue counseling, with a heart for people to become whole, healthy individuals and to find their God-given identity. Through her personal experience and education, one of her main passions is incorporating physical and spiritual health with mental health. Growing up in Jamestown, NC, she desires to see the Triad area walk in healing and growth. She and her family go to Westover Church.
